Suppli creator's manga is based on essays about being a single woman

This year's October issue of Shodensha's Feel Young magazine announced on Tuesday that Mari Okazaki's Zutto Dokushin de Iru Tsumori? (Will I Stay Single Forever?) manga will end in the November issue on October 8.

Okazaki is creating the story based on Mami Amemiya's original web essay series about being a single woman. The manga launched last November.

Okazaki is best known for her workplace romance Suppli, which ran in Shodensha's Feel Young magazine from 2003 to 2009. The story revolves around Minami Fujii, a woman who discovers romantic opportunities at her job in an advertising agency after she splits up with her boyfriend. Tokyopop published five volumes of the series. The manga was adapted into a television drama in Japan in 2006.
