Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue Revealed for 2016

Square Enix announced during the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference on Tuesday that it will release a new Kingdom Hearts collection titled Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue. The release will compile three different Kingdom Hearts titles:

• Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, an HD remaster of the 2012 Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Nintendo 3DS game
• Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover, a brand-new HD theater video recounting "the series' oldest short story"
• Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage-, with a brand-new short episode tied to the 2011 Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix PSP game

Square Enix also showed a trailer for the collection during the press conference.

Square Enix will release Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue for the PlayStation 4 in 2016.

A game director who had previously worked with Square Enix revealed a "Kingdom Hearts 2.9" title in his LinkedIn profile last week.
