.hack Inspires Bandai Namco's New World RPG App

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced its new iOS and Android app game New World on Wednesday. The game is the first installment of "Project N.U.," which features concept and world design are inspired by the .hack series.
The first part, New World Vol. 1 Ginrui no Otome (Maiden of Silver Tears), is slated to launch by the end of the year.
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (.hack//SIGN, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Summer Wars) is designing characters for the 3D RPG and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm developer CyberConnect2 is collaborating on the project.
In the game the protagonist, the player's "other self," will appear in the world and meet a girl with silver eyes. Her voice calls forth a secret hidden from the world, and grants the protagonist forbidden power.
