posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Game launches as free download for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain owners on October 6

Konami began streaming the Tokyo Game Show 2015 gameplay demonstration video for its Metal Gear Online game on Friday. The video showcases the multiplayer game's three different classes, the character customization, the buddy link system, and team gameplay. The video also reveals that players can control special named characters, such as Revolver Ocelot and Big Boss.

The game is slated to release digitally on October 6, and will be available as a free download for anyone who owns Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain shipped for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in the United States and Europe on September 1, followed by Japan on September 2.

Metal Gear Solid V consists of two separate games: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes provides the backstory behind the events in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes debuted on consoles in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe last year.

Kojima stated that he considers Metal Gear Solid V as the last Metal Gear Solid title.

Kiefer Sutherland plays the role of Snake in these new games produced and directed by Kojima, although Akio Ohtsuka reprises the role from the Japanese versions of the previous games. Yoji Shinkawa serves as character and mechanical designer, Hideki Sasaki as CG art director, Junji Tago as technical director, and Masayuki Suzuki as lighting artist.
