Tokyo Ghoul Volume 1 Ranks #5 on U.S. Monthly BookScan September List

posted on by Jabulani Blyden
One-Punch Man, Naruto, Attack on Titan also rank in top 20

The first volume of Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul manga ranked at #5 on the Nielsen BookScan's Top 20 for September, falling one place from its #4 spot on the August chart, and maintaining a top five spot since its debut in June. The 2nd volume ranked at #7, falling from its #5 spot on the August chart.

The first and second volumes of Yūsuke Murata and ONE's One-Punch Man manga debuted at #8 and #11, respectively.

The 71st volume of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga ranked at #10, falling from its #2 debut.

The 16th volume of Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga gained a few spots, moving up to #13 from August's #19 spot. The first volume replaced it at #19, falling from August's #16 spot.

The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart.com, and some other venues.
