Loups-Garous artist Akihiko Higuchi draws web manga that launched on Monday

Code Geass original story writer and director Goro Taniguchi launched his first manga project titled ĀTRAIL -Nisekawi-teki Nichijō to Senmetsu Element on the ComicWalker and Niconico websites on Monday. Manga artist Akihiko Higuchi (Loups-Garous manga) is drawing the series, and Taniguchi is writing the scripts. The key visual (pictured below) features the English subtitle "Ordinary in the Fake World."

The manga centers on Iori Shijima, an ordinary high school student blessed with a good, common life. He has a cute childhood friend, lots of friends he can rely on, and a nice and beautiful mother. Additionally, his grades are good and he has a solid future plan. However, one day "transcendent beings" called ĀTRAIL appear on Earth, and Iori's everyday life crumbles as he learns about the secrets of another world and the meaning to his own existence.

Taniguchi is also serving as chief director for the upcoming original anime series Active Raid: Kidō Kyōshūshitsu Dai-Hakkei (Active Raid: Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit) that will premiere in January.
