Snow White with the Red Hair Original Anime DVD Episode Trailer Features eyelis Song (Updated)

Episode to bundle with manga volume 15 on January 5

Warner Brothers anime began streaming a preview of Snow White with the Red Hair's original anime DVD (OAD) episode, which will ship with the manga's 15th compiled volume on January 5 in Japan. The video previews Shirayuki and Zen's date, and features the song "Ginsekai" by eyelis, the group that performed the main ending theme for the first television anime.

The 30-minute OAD will adapt three chapters from the original manga, and it will not air as part of the ongoing television anime series. The OAD is adapting the 41st chapter of the manga where Shirayuki and Zen go on a date in the castle town. The anime is also adapting a special chapter from volume seven — which follows Prince Raji as a child — as well as a special chapter from volume 11 that chronicles how Zen, Mitsuhide, and Kiki first met.

The pre-order deadline for the limited-edition set is November 11.

The OAD will feature the same staff and cast as the television anime series. Masahiro Ando (Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow, Blast of Tempest) is directing the anime at the studio BONES.

Akiduki's original manga and the anime revolve around Shirayuki (Saori Hayami), a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman who has red hair, which is very rare in her country. When she is proposed and chased after by Raji (Jun Fukuyama), the prince of her country, she runs away, only to meet Zen (Ryota Ohsaka), the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.

Funimation streamed the first TV anime series as it airs. The anime is airing as two split seasons, with the second season premiering in January 2016.

Akiduki began the manga in LaLa in its September 2006 issue, and Hakusensha shipped the 14th compiled volume of the series on July 3.

Update: The 15th volume with the OAD will ship on January 5. The pre-order deadline is November 11.
