Galaxy Records Sells AKB48's Tsugi no Ashiato Album in Philippines

Philippine record label Galaxy Records will begin selling Japanese idol group AKB48's fifth studio album Tsugi no Ashiato from Friday to Sunday. The album will only be available at Landmark and Astrovision stores in TriNoma Mall in Quezon City. Those who purchase the album will also receive an AKB48 poster while supplies last.
King Records released the album in Japan in January 2014. The album ranked at #1 on Oricon's weekly singles chart in its first week. The album also ranked at #1 on Oricon's year-end chart, making it the best-selling album in Japan in 2014, with a total of 1,041,355 copies sold.
AKB48's Team 8 sub-unit will perform in the Philippines for the first time at the Cool Japan Festival at the Trinoma Activity Center on Saturday (at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) and Sunday (at 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.).
AKB48's Team 8 is a newly formed sub-unit sponsored by automotive manufacturer Toyota, and it consists of 47 members recruited from each of the 47 prefectures of Japan.
The Team 8 members participating in the Philippines performance are Rin Okabe, Maria Shimizu, Nanase Yoshikawa, Erina Oda, Shiori Sato, Nao Ota, Nanami Yamada, Momoka Onishi, Yuri Tani, Riona Hamamatsu, Yurina Gyoten, and Rena Fukuchi.
