Street Fighter V Video Previews Game's Tutorial Mode

PS4/PC fighting game with 16 playable launch characters ships on February 16

CAPCOM began streaming a tutorial mode video on Monday for its Street Fighter V PlayStation 4 and PC fighting game. The video features tutorial gameplay and event scenes for Ken and Ryu.

The game will ship on February 16, 2016 in North America and Europe.

Playable characters thus far include Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Nash, M. Bison, Cammy, Birdie, Vega, Karin Kanzuki, Necalli, Rainbow Mika, Zangief, Laura, Rashid, and Dhalsim. The game will launch with a core of 16 playable characters—four of which are brand new to the franchise—and will add six more that will be purchasable with in-game currency. Necalli, Rashid, and Laura are the new characters that have been announced thus far.

Street Fighter V is the latest entry in the Street Fighter fighting game franchise. The game contains new features, such as V-Reversal moves, and a special V-Trigger mode.

A beta test was supposed to launch on July 23, but CAPCOM closed the test early after server issues made the game inaccessible for many players. The company promised that there will still be three beta tests before the final launch, and started another beta test in August.

The game's initial release will be the only physical disc release that CAPCOM will make for the game. CAPCOM will make all post-launch balance and system updates free, and all future playable character roster updates can be earned either through an in-game currency called Fight Money, or by purchasing special premium Zenny currency with real money to acquire them immediately.
