Rumi Ochiai Replaces Sumiko Shirakawa as Nakajima-kun in Sazae-san Anime

The staff of the Sazae-san anime announced on Friday that voice actress Rumi Ochiai will voice the character of Nakajima-kun in the show, after the character's original voice actress Sumiko Shirakawa passed away on November 27. The staff unanimously chose Ochiai after hurried auditions. She will make her debut voicing the character in the episode premiering on December 13.
Ochiai stated that she must live up to Shirakawa's performance of Nakajima-kun that everyone loved and was familiar with. She has previously voiced characters in NieA_7 (Kotomi Hiyama) and Naruto (Kurenai Yuuhi).
Shirakawa's final performance as Nakajima-kun was in the episode of Sazae-san that aired on November 29. The Sazae-san episode airing on Sunday will have Seiko Ueda voicing Nakajima-kun as a substitute voice actress.
