God Eater Games' 2016 Western Release Will Not Have Japanese Audio

PS4/Vita/PC games will only contain English dub

In an interview with the PlayStation Lifestyle website, God Eater Series Producer Yusuke Tomizawa and Game Director Hiroshi Yoshimura confirmed that Bandai Namco Entertainment's upcoming North American and European release for God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst will only contain the English dub, and will not contain the original Japanese audio.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will release both games on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC simultaneously in 2016 for North America and Europe.

God Eater: Resurrection shipped for PS4 and PS Vita in Japan on October 29. It is an updated version of the 2010 PSP game God Eater Burst, which is itself an update of the original God Eater game. The game improves graphics and event scenes for the newer hardware, and it also adds an epilogue that bridges the story with God Eater 2.

God Eater Burst shipped in North America and Europe in 2011.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst shipped for PS4 and PS Vita in Japan on February 19. The game serves as the final chapter of God Eater 2, to which it adds new features, such as a new scenario, a new weapon called a "Valiant Scythe," as well as a new action system called, "Blood Rain."

The God Eater television anime premiered on July 8, and Aniplex of America is streamed the first nine episodes on Daisuki and then on Crunchyroll. The ninth episode ended with an announcement that the final four episodes are "coming this winter." The game franchise also inspired the God Eater Prologue original video anime.
