Mochi-Usagi's series inspired by idol franchise launched in May

The February issue of Shogakukan's Ciao magazine announced on Monday that Mochi-Usagi's Aikatsu! Go! Go! Go! manga will end in the next issue on February 3. Mochi-Usagi launched the manga on May 1, and the magazine's February issue published the series' ninth chapter.

The story of the Aikatsu! game and anime franchise begins with Ichigo, who was just a normal middle school student until she suddenly got involved in the world of idols. Aikatsu! Go! Go! Go! tells an original story.

Ciao announced in February that artist Bambi Shirayuki put her Aikatsu! and Kosu Sen!! manga on hiatus due to her poor physical condition.

Bandai announced the original idol-themed card game and its anime adaptation in 2012. Sunrise animated the first two series, and is also animating the third series, which premiered on TV Tokyo in October.
