Blazblue: Central Fiction Game's Video Shows Hades Izanami

Character playable in update slated for January 28

Game developer Arc System Works began streaming an introduction video for its Blazblue: Central Fiction arcade fighting game on Monday. The video introduces the new playable character Hades Izanami, and shows some aspects of her gameplay.

Izanami's unique ability is the ability to float. While doing so, she can use her ground attacks while in the air. She can also switch between different modes with different attacks. She will be available as a playable character in an update to the game on January 28. The character was previously an unplayable boss.

The game launched in Japanese arcades in November.

Returning playable characters include: Ragna, Jin, Noel, Rachel, Hazama, Izayoi, Azrael, Amane, μ -No.12-, Litchi, Taokaka, Bang, Arakune, ν -No.13-, Tsubaki, Makoto, Λ -No.11-, Carl, Relius, Platinum, Valkenhayn, Tager, Kokonoe, Hakumen, Bullet, Terumi, Celica, and Kagura. New playable characters include Hibiki and Naoto. New playable characters include Hibiki, Naoto, and Nine.

Arc System Works released the BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma arcade game in Japan in November 2012, and then released the game on PlayStation 3 in October 2013 and PlayStation Vita in April 2014. Aksys Games released the original BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma game in North America on PS3 in March 2014 and on PS Vita in June 2014.

Arc System Works released BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Ver 2.0, an extension of the arcade version of the game with new characters and a new scenario, in Japan in October 2014. The company then released the BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on April 23. Aksys Games released BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend on the PS3, PS4, and Xbox One in North America on June 30, and on the PS Vita on July 28.
