News Kendo Kobayashi, Jungle Pocket Guest Star in Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions Film

The official website of the Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions film revealed on Wednesday that comedian actor Kendo Kobayashi (live-action Yatterman's Tonzura) and comedy group Jungle Pocket will guest star in the film.
The comedians will guest star as the Kudaragi Group. Jungle Pocket will make their voice acting debut to play the subordinates of the Kudaragi Group, while Kobayashi will play Kudaragi, the leader of the group. Additionally, this year's eighth issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump revealed on Monday that Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi drew the characters' designs himself.

Pre-sale tickets included a rare "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" card (an evolved version of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon used by Yūgi Mutō's rival Seto Kaiba in the film) printed specifically for the film. Only 200,000 copies were printed. 130 theaters in Japan participated in the promotion. Those who pre-order tickets starting on May 3 will receive a different as-yet unrevealed present.
Additionally, those who see the film during different weeks will also receive specific cards:
- April 23-29 - Gandora X the Dragon of Destruction card
- April 30-May 6 - Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight card
- May 7-13 - Lemon Magician Girl card
- May 14-20 - secret card
The official website previously streamed the second teaser trailer for the film.
The staff had streamed the first teaser video in Japanese and English in July.
The previously announced returning cast and characters include:
- Shunsuke Kazama as Yūgi Mutō
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Seto Kaiba
- Hidehiro Kikuchi as Hiroto Honda (Tristan Taylor)
- Hiroki Takahashi as Katsuya Jōnōchi (Joey Wheeler)
- Junko Takeuchi as Mokuba Kaiba
- Maki Saitou as Anzu Masaki (Téa Gardener)
- Rica Matsumoto as Ryō Bakura
Actor Kento Hayashi in his first voice acting role as Aigami, a mysterious boy who appeared before Yūgi and the others as they went about their usual daily life.
Kana Hanazawa as Sera, a mysterious girl who accompanies Hayashi's character Aigami.
Satoshi Hino as Mani, who travels with Aigami to perform their mission.
Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine previously teased the film's story, which takes place six months after the end of the manga:
In the past Yūgi Yami and Kaiba have clashed many times!! Yami Yūgi, who resides in Yūgi Mutō's body, and Kaiba will have a duel that bets their prides and accepts each other's mutual experience.
Yu-Gi-Oh! manga creator Kazuki Takahashi is in charge of the film's script and character designs, and is also serving as chief production supervisor. Satoshi Kuwabara (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II) is directing the film.
The film will open on April 23 in Japan, and in late 2016 outside of Japan.
