Animax Asia's Black Bullet Ad Reveals February 9 Premiere

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Series airs 2 episodes every Monday/Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. (JKT/BKK)/10:00 p.m. (SIN/PH)

Regional television channel Animax Asia began streaming an English-subtitled commercial on Wednesday for its airing of the Black Bullet television anime series.

Animax Asia will premiere Black Bullet on February 9 at 9:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 10:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines. The series will air every Monday and Tuesday with two back-to-back episodes each day.

The 13-episode series premiered in April 2014, and is based on Shiden Kanzaki and Saki Ukai's light novel series of the same name. The story revolves around the high-schooler Rentarō, a young man who has a superior, mysterious ability in an age of humans who fight against the Gastrea, a race of viral parasites. The story describes Rentarō's actions in a not too distant future.

The series starred Aoi Yūki as Kohina Hiruko, Yui Horie as Kisara Tendō, Yūko Kaida as Sumire Muroto, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Tina Sprout, and Aki Toyosaki as Seitenshi, with lead voice actors Yūki Kaji as Rentarō Satomi, Rina Hidaka as Enju Aihara, and Rikiya Koyama as Kagetane Hiruko.

Masayuki Kojima (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, The Piano Forest) directed the anime at Kinema Citrus from scripts by Tatsuhiko Urahata (Saki Episode of Side A, Cardfight!! Vanguard). Chiho Umishima designed the characters, while Shiro Sagisu (Bleach, Neon Genesis Evangelion) composed the music. Yō Yamada (The Garden of Words, Penguindrum) served as sound director.
