Franchise's newest game to have 2 versions with all-female cast

The official website for Rocket Company's new Nintendo 3DS game Medabots: Girls Mission (Medarot: Girls Mission) updated on Monday with the first promotional video, character profiles, and a list of bonus extras.

The video introduces the story, in which an Artemis Cup tournament debuts for high school girls only. It then introduces some of the characters from the all-female cast:

Ibuki Kido as Minori Hōjō

Aya Suzaki as Megumi Kaidō

Eriko Nakamura as Shikkoku no Yami

Ayane Sakura as Tsubasa Nanahoshi

Ayumi Fujimura as Batory Laura (not pictured)

The video previews the game's features including the Ogre Maxim move and Hyper Finish, which shreds your opponent's clothes.

The two versions of the game will have different protagonists. Kabuto ver. will focus on Minori's Joyō Agricultural High School and Kuwagata ver. will focus on Megumi Teihō High school.

Rocket Company released Medarot 9: Kabuto ver./Kuwagata ver., the most recent games in the series, on December 24 for the Nintendo 3DS.

The first Medabot (Medarot) game inspired a television anime series by Bee Train in 1999, and a sequel series titled Medarot Tamashii (Medabot Spirits) in 2000. ADV licensed the series in North America, and Nelvana produced a dub for the first series, which aired in the Fox Kids network in 2001, before moving to ABC Family. Medabot Spirits aired on ABC Family in 2003.
