Nights of Azure Game Trailer Previews Transformations

Yoru no Nai Kuni ships for PS4 in N. America on March 29, Europe on April 1

Koei Tecmo America began streaming a transformation trailer for Gust's Nights of Azure (Yoru no Nai Kuni) PlayStation 4 game on Friday. The video previews Arnice's Demon, Rabbit, Phantom, Armor, and Nightmare Forms.

NISA Europe detailed the game's limited edition in a series of Twitter posts in January. The limited edition is available in both Europe and North America.

Apart from the game, the limited edition will include a full color, 40-page hardcover art book, the game's original soundtrack with 36 tracks, a cloth poster, five mini art prints, four custom themes featuring artwork from the game, and the limited edition box packaging. In addition, those who pre-order the limited edition will also receive the character "Gust-chan" (who was also available in first-print Japanese copies of the game) and custom themes based on Gust-chan (seen below). This will be the first time that Gust-chan is appearing in a Gust game as part of the game's mechanics (the character previously appeared in Compile Heart's Hyperdimension Neptunia series).

Koei Tecmo America announced in January that those who pre-order the game in North America through Amazon, EB Canada, or Gamestop will receive Gust-chan and a custom PS4 theme based on Gust-chan. Those who pre-order from Best Buy in North America will receive two custom PS4 themes based on the game.

In Nights of Azure, players summon "selvans" or subordinate demons to use in battle. The game's story revolves around the fate of two young women: a half-fairy named Arnas (voiced by M.A.O), and her best friend, a saint named Rulitis (voiced by Hiromi Igarashi). Illustrator Yoshiku designed the characters for the "bishōjo selvan RPG." Tadanobu Inoue served as chief producer and Kikuchi (Fatal Frame series) served as development producer.

The game shipped for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on October 1. The game is slated for release in Europe on April 1, and in North America on March 29. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 in both Europe and North America.
