Crunchyroll to Stream Super Lovers Boys-Love Anime

10-episode series premieres on April 6

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the television anime of Miyuki Abe's boys-love manga Super Lovers. The stream will premiere worldwide outside of Asia on April 6 at 2:05 p.m. EDT.

The show will premiere on AT-X on April 6 at 11:30 p.m. before airing on Tokyo MX on April 7 at 1:35 a.m. The series will also air on Sun TV, BS11, Chiba TV, tvk, Mie TV, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, Gifu Broadcasting, and TV Saitama.

The television anime will have 10 half-hour episodes. The limited edition of the manga's 10th volume will include a bonus 20-minute episode when it ships on January 1, 2017.

Crunchyroll describes the series:

Fooled into coming overseas by news of his mother's imminent death, high school student Kaido Haru encounters a boy who insists that he's his brother. Haru does his best to raise feral and obstinate Ren, but there seems to be a secret behind Ren's birth. On top of that, just when Ren begins to warm up to Haru, tragedy strikes. Five years later, Haru reunites with Ren, all grown up in Tokyo, but...

Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie, Log Horizon) is helming the TV anime at Studio DEEN. Yoshiko Nakamura (Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, Hakuōki, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) is supervising the series scripts. Miki Takihara (Squid Girl, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, Yuri Kuma Arashi) is designing the characters, and Nippon Columbia is producing the music.
