Series premieres on Crunchyroll on April 4

TV Tokyo aired a commercial for the upcoming television anime of Jun Misaki's light novel series Hundred. The video previews the opening theme song "BLOODRED" by D-selections.

Hayato: Hundred, on!
Emil: Each holds their own hope in their hands... The ultimate school battle action story begins now! New program, Hundred. Premiering on April 4 at 2:05 a.m.

The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on Monday, April 4 at 2:05 a.m. JST. The series will then run on the BS Japan and AT-X channels. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs in Japan.

The anime's cast includes:

Tomoki Kobayashi (Akame ga KILL!, Utawarerumono) is directing the series at Production IMS. Hideki Shirane (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Date A Live) is handling series composition and Norie Tanaka (chief animation director for Absolute Duo, M3 the dark metal) is in charge of character design. Shuhei Naruse will compose the music for the anime and DIVE II Entertainment will handle music production.

The "ultimate school battle action" science-fiction comedy begins with the Hundred, the only weapon that can counter the mysterious Savage life form attacking Earth. To become a Slayer (master of military arts) who wields this Hundred, the main character Hayato Kisaragi successfully enrolls in the marine academy city ship Little Garden. However he feels a strange yet familiar sense of incongruity towards Emil Crossford, his roommate who somehow knows him from somewhere. On top of that, as soon as he enters the school, he is challenged to a duel by the "Queen" (the school's most powerful Slayer) Claire Harvey.
