The Gekidan Takumi theatre troupe is putting together the play as its 10th production. The play will run for eight performances from July 27 to 31 at the Asakusa Rock Yumamchi Theatre in Tokyo. Tickets went on sale via Ticket Pay on April 10. Takuya Katō (The Housekeeper and the Professor, Haha o Nakushita Toki, Boku wa Ikotsu o Tabetai to Omotta.) is credited as producer, director, and scriptwriter.

The "corrupt pure-love story" revolves around Takao Kasuga, a bookish boy who loves the poems of Charles Baudelaire (the original author of the poetry collection Les Fleurs du mal or Flowers of Evil). One day after school, he discovers and steals the gym clothes of Nanako Saeki, the girl he has a crush on. However, he learns that Sawa Nakamura, a girl he loathes, happens to catch him in the act. Nakamura blackmails Kasuga into a "contract," or else she will reveal his secret.

Oshimi began the manga in the magazine in 2009, and ended it in May 2014. Kodansha shipped the 11th and final compiled volume June 2014. Vertical published the manga in North America, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime adaptation as it aired in Japan in 2013. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the anime for digital and home video release, and released it on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in 2014.
