The following anime-related guests will appear at the Hyper Japan festival, which runs from July 15 to 17 at Olympia in London.

- Watanabe Tetsuya (pictured left) described as "a leading advertising agency producer of Japan," who has worked on such series as Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo (The File of Young Kindaichi).

Michiko and Watanabe will appear in the first session on the Saturday. According to the Hyper Japan website, "Come hear Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation's Suwa Michihiko talk about the “Detective Conanfranchise from his role as executive/chief producer as he takes you on an anecdote-filled journey through the Japanese anime industry. Listen to Watanabe Tetsuya, a veteran of many an advertising campaign and steeped in the business side of anime, offer his take on how the anime business grew into a globe-spanning, multi-billion pound industry."

A further guest has been announced for the second Saturday session and Sunday session of Hyper Japan:

- Kihara Hirokatsu (pictured right) - Anime professional who formerly worked at Studio Ghibli, involved in Castle in the Sky, My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service. According to Hyper Japan, " We have it on very good authority that Mr. Kihara will be bringing something incredible with him. Hint: He was at Studio Ghibli, after all."

Hyper Japan has already announced that the My Neighbor Totoro singer Azumi Inoue will appear at the July event; she will appear on the Friday and also in the first Saturday session.

There will also be a performance by the Vocaloid character IA, although Hyper Japan has not confirmed which day(s) this will take place.
