posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
All releases include English dub/subtitles

Anime retailer Right Stuf revealed on Wednesday that it will release the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack anime film and the Gundam Build Fighters Try television anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. Both are slated for release on September 6.

Both the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will have English dubbing and Japanese dubbing with English subtitles, as well as Japanese trailers, and a special promotional video. Gundam Build Fighters Try's bonus video extras also include clean opening and closing animation sequences, as well as "Gunpla of Guild Fighters Try" and "The World of Build Fighters Try" features.

Right Stuf describes Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack:

One man against the Earth...

Universal Century 0093. Thirteen years have passed since the events of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. But the foundations of peace are once again threatened by a new Neo Zeon army led by the notorious Char Aznable! Their ultimate goal is to initiate a nuclear winter upon Earth ushering in a new age of mankind into space. Armed with the state of the art Nu Gundam mobile suit, Amuro Ray and the Federation forces are all that stand against Neo Zeon. Driven by vengeance, duty and love, the final battle between rivals Char Aznable and Amuro Ray is at hand.

The film is a sequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam Double Zeta, and debuted in Japan in 1988. Bandai Entertainment released the film in North America on DVD in 2002, and in a Gundam DVD movie collection in 2004.

Both the Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases of Gundam Build Fighters Try will include the show's 25 episodes with English dubbing and Japanese dubbing with English subtitles. They will also include clean opening sequences, clean ending sequences, the video features "Gunpla of Guild Fighters Try" and "The World of Build Fighters Try," Japanese trailers, and commercials.

Right Stuf describes Gundam Build Fighters Try:

In Gundam Build Fighters Try, seven years have passed since Sei Iori won the 7th Gunpla Battle Championship World Tournament. The Gunpla Battle Championship is now run by Yajima Trading. With new rules and battle modes, the game's popularity has become even more widespread.

However, the Seiho Academy that Sei Iori once attended has failed to catch onto the trend. The only member of the school's Gunpla Battle Club is its president, middleschooler Fumina Hoshino. Currently there is no way the club can participate in the upcoming Gunpla Battle Japanese Under19 Championship, where players fight in teams of three.

Then Fumina meets a new transfer student. He is Sekai Kamiki, a young martial artist who has been travelling with his master. Together with a young Gunpla builder named Yuuma Kousaka, they finally have three members for their team.

Sekai Kamiki, Yuuma Kousaka, and Fumina Hoshino -- team "TRY FIGHTERS" is about to begin its challenge!

The series premiered in 2014, and is the second season of the 2013 Gundam Build Fighters television anime series. The Gundam.info website streamed the series in "limited" areas including the United States and Canada as the anime aired in Japan.

Right Stuf will release the first Gundam Build Fighters season on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on August 2 with both the English dub and the Japanese dub with English subtitles.

Right Stuf and Sunrise previously announced plans to release a number of Gundam series in North America. Right Stuf already released the original Mobile Suit Gundam television anime series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, as well as the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Turn A Gundam television anime series.

Right Stuf and Sunrise also plan to release Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, After War Gundam X, and the Turn A Gundam movie collection.
