This year's 27th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that singer-songwriter Huwie Ishizaki will perform the ending theme song "Pino to Amélie" (Pino and Amélie) for the Naruto Shippūden television anime series starting in July. The song will mark the first time Ishizaki is performing a theme song for an anime.
Ishizaki debuted in 2012 and has released three singles, one mini-album, and three albums. His most recent album Kabin no Hana (pictured at right) shipped on May 18.
Kuroneko Chelsea is performing the current ending theme song "Ao no Lullaby" (Blue Lullaby).
The Naruto Shippūden anime entered a new arc last month that goes back to material based on Masashi Kishimoto's original manga, featuring the "final decisive battle" between the original Team 7 and Kaguya (although the new arc has also featured several episodes with an original story).
