Ad for 2nd season streamed; show will occupy same time slot as 1st season

Regional anime channel Animax Asia began streaming a commercial last Friday for Nisekoi:, the second season of the television anime adaptation of Naoshi Komi's Nisekoi - False Love manga. The video reveals that the anime will begin airing on June 9 at 7:00 p.m. in Jakarta and Bangkok, and 8:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines. The anime will air in those time slots every Wednesday and Thursday, with two episodes airing each day.

Animax Asia premiered Nisekoi's first season on May 5, and announced on the same day that the second season will begin airing immediately after the first season concludes. The second season will occupy the same time slot as the first season.

Nisekoi revolves around Raku Ichijō (Kōki Uchiyama), a normal high school student who happens to be the heir to a yakuza group. The attractive but violent transfer student Chitoge Kirisaki (Nao Tōyama), the heir to a rival yakuza group, transfers to his class, and the two must pretend to date to keep a war from breaking out between their families.

The 12-episode second season premiered in Japan in April 2015.

Original creator Naoshi Komi drew the original "Nisekoi" one-shot manga in early 2011, and turned it into a manga series in November of the same year. Shueisha shipped the manga's 23rd compiled book volume on June 3. The first season of the television anime adaptation premiered in Japan in January 2014 with 20 episodes.
