Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8's E3 Trailer Reveals December Worldwide Launch

Square Enix posted the E3 2016 trailer for its Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue game release on Wednesday. The trailer previews the three parts of the release, and announces that the release will debut worldwide on the PlayStation 4 this December. The trailers promises more announcements this winter.
In particular, the Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage- part takes place immediately after the secret episode in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, when Aqua, one of the original Keyblade wielders, finds Cinderella's castle. The trailer features Aqua's battle against the Heartless. Square Enix is creating this part of the release using Kingdom Hearts III technology.
The trailer also features new HD gameplay from Dream Drop Distance HD and new scenes from Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover "that sheds light on the mysterious Foretellers!"
Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue will include:
- Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, an HD remaster of the 2012 Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Nintendo 3DS game
- Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, a brand-new HD theater video recounting "the series' oldest short story" about the foretellers
- Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage-, with a brand-new short episode tied to the 2011 Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix PSP game
