Retailer Lists New Manga Series For One-Punch Man, Eyeshield 21's Yuusuke Murata

Series will debut in Morning magazine on June 30

The Japanese online retailer 7net is currently listing that Yūsuke Murata (One-Punch Man, Eyeshield 21 artist) will launch a new series in Kodansha's Morning magazine in this year's 31st issue, which will ship on June 30. The listing doesn't give any further information about the series.

Murata and web manga creator ONE launched the ongoing One-Punch Man manga on the free "Tonari no Young Jump" website in 2012, and the series is a remake of ONE's original web manga of the same name. Shueisha published the manga's 11th compiled volume in Japan on June 3. Viz Media is releasing the series digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump manga anthology, and is also releasing the series in print. Viz Media will release the seventh compiled volume on July 5.

The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime adaptation that aired last year, and Viz Media has also licensed the anime for home video and streamed the series as it aired. The manga has also inspired seven OVA episodes. One of the episodes shipped with the manga's 10th compiled volume in Japan and the other six shipped with the home video releases of the television anime series in Japan.

Viz Media released all 37 volumes of Murata and Riichirou Inagaki's Eyeshield 21 manga in North America. The manga inspired a 145-episode television anime series in 2005-2008, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on home video in 2010-2011. Crunchyroll is streaming the series online.
