Berserk Musou Staff Look Into Xbox One Release

Producer Koinuma discusses story, game's age rating

Producer Hisashi Koinuma revealed in an interview with Japanese video game news website Gamer at E3 that Omega Force is "looking into" an Xbox One release of its upcoming Berserk Musou/Warriors title in America. The company is also looking into a Steam release in Japan.

Koinuma also said that the game's story will start from the beginning in order to accommodate action game fans who are new to the franchise, and go up to the story in the upcoming anime. On the game's age rating, Koinuma said it is company policy to not produce CERO Z (18+) games. Its Fist of the North Star game was CERO D (17+) and he expects Berserk will be the same.

The game is slated to ship this year in Japan on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Koei Tecmo Europe and Koei Tecmo America have both confirmed a Western release on the PS4, PS Vita, and PC via Steam.

Omega Force is a subsidiary of Koei Tecmo, and it develops Koei Tecmo's Musou (Warriors) series of games.

Berserk is inspiring a new television anime that will premiere on July 1. Miura is also resuming the manga on June 24 as a monthly series.
