Experience's Yomi wo Saku Hana Xbox One Game to Get Western Release

"Hack-and-slash" RPG set in same world as Students of the Round slated for Spring 2017

Haijme Chikami, Japanese game developer Experience Inc.'s president, revealed during a Twitter Q&A on Monday that its upcoming Yomi wo Saku Hana (The Flower That is Torn in the Underworld) Xbox One game will get a Western release. Chikami did not specify which company will publish the game in the west.

In addition, Chikami revealed that Experience Inc. plans to localize its new games to the west, and wants to include English subtitles in Japanese releases of the company's games.

The game is slated for release in Spring 2017 in Japan.

The game will have action and hack-and-slash elements. It takes place in the same setting as the company's Students of the Round (Entaku no Seito) and Demon Gaze games, except it is set some years after Students of the Round. It will be set in a far east land with denizens that only appear as spirits in the night.

Experience dubbed the game an "RPG that is not a dungeon RPG" (the company typically makes dungeon-crawling role-playing games). The game will be exclusive to the Xbox One platform.

Experience recently released its Stranger of Sword City (Tsurugi no Machi no Ihōjin) game on the Xbox One in North America on March 22, while NIS America released the game's PS Vita version in North America and Europe on April 26.
