Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Saikyō Card Battle Free-to-Play 3DS Game Launches July 6 in Japan

The official website for Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Saikyō Card Battle (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Strongest Card Battle) Nintendo 3DS game began streaming a game trailer on Tuesday. The video reveals that the game will be free-to-play (with in-game purchases) and will launch in Japan on July 6.

The protagonist is a duelist who must collect cards and duel rivals in game, and can also compete with friends via link battle. "Legendary Duelists" such as Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba, and Joey Wheeler (Jonōchi Katsuya) will appear in the game. Elementary and middle school students who clear the game can win a physical Blue-Eyes White Dragon card.

Konami announced the game in December and confirmed in January that the game will get a global release.
