Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs in Japan. The streaming will launch on Friday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide except for Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.

The anime's previously revealed cast includes:

The anime adapts Kentarou Miura's dark fantasy manga of the same name. Miura himself is serving as executive supervisor for the series. Shin Itagaki (Basquash!, Ben-To, Teekyū) is directing the anime. Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass, Ōsama-tachi no Viking, Yuruyuri San Hai!) is supervising the series scripts in collaboration with Takashi Yamashita (Cencoroll). Liden Films is credited for production, while Gemba and Millepensee are credited for animation production.

Susumu HIrasawa is composing an insert song title "Hai yo" (Oh Ashes), and Nagi Yanagi will perform the anime's ending theme song "Meimoku no Kanata" (Beyond Closed Eyes).
