Shiramine's Tales of Zestiria Manga Ends

Adaptation of video game debuted in January 2015

The September issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine announced on Thursday that Shiramine's manga adaptation of Bandai Namco Games' Tales of Zestiria video game will end in the next issue on August 28. The chapter will receive a center color page.

The manga's full title is Tales of Zestiria: Michibiki no Koku (Tales of Zestiria: The Time of Guidance). The series debuted in January 2015.

The Tales of Zestiria the X (pronounced "cross") television anime series (pictured below) premiered on July 3. Funimation and Daisuki are streaming the anime as it airs in Japan. Funimation's English dub of the series will premiere on August 3.

Bandai Namco Games' PlayStation 3 game shipped in January 2015 in Japan.

Namco Bandai Studio's Daigo Okumura designed the character Alisha, while Kousuke Fujishima designed Sorey. Mutsumi Inomata also returned to contribute character designs along with Minoru Iwamoto. The anime studio ufotable once again contributed animation for cut scenes and the opening for the game under studio founder and producer Hikaru Kondo.

An anime special, Tales of Zestiria: Dōshi no Yoake (Tales of Zestiria: Dawn of the Fon Master), aired on Tokyo MX in December 2014. ufotable (Tales of Symphonia the Animation, Tales of Xillia in-game cutscenes) animated the special. The anime special was also included on the game's disc.
