Voice actress debuts as singer in anime opening

The official website for the television anime of cloba.U's Magic of Stella (Stella no Mahō) manga revealed on Friday that voice actress Shino Shimoji will perform the opening theme song "God Save The Girls" for the anime.

Shimoji is known for her work as a voice actress in the anime Aikatsu! as Akari Ōzora, and the theme song marks her debut as a singer. When asked to comment, Shimoji explained that ever since she was a child, she loved to sing, and this sort of debut is like a dream come true. She said although she's still a novice as a performer, she hopes that her experence as a singer will help her to grow as a voice actress as well.

kz from Livetune is composing and arranging the song, Yu Manabe is overseeing the string arrangement, and Yuho Iwasato is serving as the lyricist. Shimoji's debut single for the song will ship on October 26.

Magic of Stella will premiere in October and will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, and BS11.

The "high school girls x dōjin games" story follows Tamaki Honda, a first-year high school girl who joins a somewhat peculiar "SNS-Bu" circle that makes dōjin (self-published) games. Shinya Kawatsura (Non Non Biyori, Tanaka-kun is Always Listless) is directing the anime at Studio Silver LINK. Fumihiko Shimo (Myriad Colors Phantom World, Clannad) is handling series composition and Hideki Furukawa (Invaders of the Rokujyōma!?, WATAMOTE) is designing the characters.
