3rd installment in trilogy ships in Japan for PS4, PS3, PS Vita on September 21

AQUAPLUS began streaming the opening movie on Thursday for its Utawarerumono: Futari no Hakuoro (Utawarerumono: The Two Hakuoros) game. The video features animation by WHITE FOX, and previews Suara's opening theme song "Hikari."

The game is the third climatic installment in AQUAPLUS' Utawarerumono trilogy, and the company will release the game on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita on September 21. Yuko Gibu (Tamayura's Maon Sakurada, Aoi Hana's Akira Okudaira) joins the cast as as Fumiriru.

The second game in the series, Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen, shipped in September 2015 in Japan for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. The game's producer had promised that the third game would be released within one-and-a-half to two years after the release of the second, and stated that the second and third games were in development simultaneously.

The 25-episode television anime adaptation of Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen premiered in Japan in October 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for home video.

AQUAPLUS released the original Utawarerumono game in 2002 for the PC. The game inspired a 2006 television anime series and a 2009 original video anime series. ADV Films originally licensed the first Utawarerumono TV anime, but FUNimation Entertainment later picked up the license.

The original Utawarerumono adventure simulation game takes place in a world where people have animal ears and tails, and rival generals battle for supremacy.
