Punch Line and Hanayamata Released Monday

On August 28, Manga Entertainment will release Punch Line on both Blu-ray and DVD.

If he sees underwear, humanity will be destroyed!? An original anime series from the Noitamina block, PUNCH LINE centers on Yuta Iridatsu, a high school student, with a peculiar habit. When he sees a girl's panties, he gets so excited he faints! After a certain incident with a ghost cat, his soul gets separated from his body. Using his special powers, Yuta watches the daily lives of the inhabitants of an apartment and sometimes plays tricks on them. Eventually, Yuta decides to unlock the secrets to why Earth will be destroyed and tries to save it!

Yutaka Uemura directed the series at MAPPA from scripts by Kōtarō Uchikoshi, who is best known for his scripts for the adventure visual novel Ever17. Music producer and composer Tetsuya Komuro scored the anime's music, and MAGES. produced the show. Shōta Iwasaki designed the characters.

Manga Entertainment will also release Hanayamata on both Blu-ray and DVD.

Ordinary in looks, ordinary in brains, ordinary in arts and athletics … 14-year-old Naru Sekiya is just ordinary in every way. Naru leads an ordinary day-to-day life even as she adores "heroines." She embarks on a path to an unordinary world called "Yosakoi" dance, guided by an exotic fairylike girl she met one moonlit evening.

Atsuko Ishizuka (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, No Game, No Life) is directing the anime at the Studio Madhouse. Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Girls und Panzer, Tamako Market) is writing and supervising the scripts, and Atsuko Watanabe (GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, Juden Chan, The Everyday Tales of a Cat God) is designing the characters. The creator group MONACA is composing the music, and DIVE II Entertainment is producing the music.

MVM will release the Blu-ray Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works part 1, both as a Collector's Edition Blu-ray and a standard DVD. The Collector's Edition comes with a Season 1 Key Art poster, four Seal Command stickers, and a 24-page booklet containing concept art, storyboards and breakdowns.

Studio Canal will release a triple-DVD pack of Pokémon feature films: Pokémon Heroes - Latias & Latios, Pokémon 4Ever and Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys. (Manga Entertainment is due to release several other Pokémon films in October and November.)
