"Bokura no Frontier" theme song's single CD slated for November 25

The official website of the television anime adaptation of Yagura Asano's Shakunetsu no Takkyū Musume (Scorching Ping Pong Girls) manga announced on Sunday that voice actress group Wake Up, Girls! is performing the anime's ending theme song "Bokura no Frontier" (Our Frontier). The song's single CD is slated for release on November 25.

Wake Up, Girls! is the idol group of seven girls who formed to voice the main characters of the Wake Up, Girls! TV anime series. The new single will mark the first time the group is performing for an anime not in the Wake, Up Girls! franchise.

Shakunetsu no Takkyū Musume stars:

The manga follows middle school students Koyori Tsumuzikaze and Agari Kamiya as they enter the world of girls' middle school ping pong.

Yasuhiro Irie (Kurau: Phantom Memory, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Code:Breaker) is directing the anime at Kinema Citrus. Kaori (Yuyushiki, Bottom Biting Bug) is serving as assistant director. Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die, Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens, Maria the Virgin Witch) is supervising the series' scripts. Junko Sugimura (Code:Breaker, Yuyushiki, Kumamiko key animation) is designing the characters for animation. Toshiya Kimura (Eureka Seven, Hana-Saku Iroha, Yuyushiki) is director of photography at T2 Studio.

Additionally, Aiko Matsuyama (Date A Live, Digimon Adventure tri. Ketsui) is credited for color design, while Masaru Satō (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, ERASED) is credited as art director. MONACA (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Nanana's Buried Treasure, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is handling the music, with DIVE II Entertainment credited for music production. Fumiyuki Go (MAOYU, Log Horizon, Overlord) is handling sound effects at Studio Mouse, and Hitomi Sudō (Barakamon, Yuyushiki) is editing. The main six cast members will perform the anime's opening theme song "Shakunetsu Switch."

Asano launched the manga on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump web magazine in 2013, and Shueisha published the manga's third compiled book volume on April 4.
