Boruto Joins Lineup For Jump Special Anime Festa Event

My Hero Academia, Black Clover also get event anime in November 27, December 4 event

This year's 40th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto's Boruto manga will be part of this year's Jump Special Anime Festa. The announcement doesn't specifically state that the manga will get an event anime.

Kodachi and Ikemoto launched the Boruto manga in Weekly Shonen Jump on May 9, based on and as a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga. Boruto's titular main character is the protagonist of the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- anime film.

The event will also feature a "new work video" for Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, and original event anime episodes of My Hero Academia and Black Clover. In addition, the event will feature an anime for Twin Star Exorcists, although the website has not specified if the anime will be new. Jump Special Anime Festa will screen the entirety of the Isobe Isobee Monogatari: Ukiyo wa Tsurai yo "mame anime" series and will also feature a "special video" for the franchise. "Mame anime" (bean anime) or "manime" for short is a short anime of about 30 seconds in length.

This year's Jump Special Anime Festa event will first take place in Tokyo's Yomiuri Hall on November 27, and then in Sapporo's Sapporo Cinema Frontier, Nagoya's TOHO Cinemas Nagoya Bay City, Osaka's TOHO Cinemas Umeda Main Building and Nanba Main Building, and Fukuoka's TOHO Cinemas Tenjin Main Building on December 4.

Last year's event visited nine cities in Japan in November. Gintama, Haikyu!!, World Trigger, and Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma had anime screenings at the event.
