Attack on Titan Gets Adventure Game for 3DS

Players escape mysterious castle, meet characters from story

Koei Tecmo Games revealed a new Attack on Titan game for Nintendo 3DS in this year's November 3 issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine on Thursday. The adventure game is titled Shingeki no Kyojin: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu (Attack on Titan: Escape From the Brink of Death).

The game features an original story. The player character is a member of the Survey Corps who is investigating a certain castle outside the walls. Titans attack and the player falls into the castle's basement with broken 3D maneuver gear. The player must then reconvene with allies — including familiar characters from the anime — and escape the mysterious castle.

Koei Tecmo's Ruby Party team (Neo Romance series of otome games) is developing the game alongside the television anime's visual staff.

Koei Tecmo Games' Omega Force subsidiary (Warriors/Musou franchise) developed the Attack on Titan (A.O.T: Wings of Freedom) PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita game, which shipped in Japan in February. Koei Tecmo released the game in the Americas and Europe in August and added Xbox One and PC releases. The game was set during the Battle of Trost, but extra missions allowed the player to go beyond the anime's story.
