Toei began streaming a new trailer for Kamen Rider Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider, the new Kamen Rider film in its Movie Taisen (Movie War) series of crossover films, on Friday. The trailer reveals that Shirō Sano plays the film's villain Dr. Pac-Man.

Dr. Pac-Man, whose real name is Michihiko Zaizen, is an authority in gene therapy, and revives the long-abandoned "Genome Project." Dr. Pac-Man faces the Riders in his transformed form, Genomes.

The film opens on December 10 in Japan.

As with other movies in the Kamen Rider film series, the new film's plot crosses over the current Kamen Rider series with the previous one. In the film, a game virus lifeform called "Pac-Man" invades, and humanity faces an unprecedented crisis. Kamen Rider Ex-Aid must search for the source of the virus. The film will feature Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Ghost, Kamen Rider Drive, Kamen Rider Gaim, and Kamen Rider Wizard teaming up.

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, the latest installment in the long-running Kamen Rider special effects series, premiered in Japan on October 2. The show's theme is "doctors x gamers." The protagonist Emu Hōjō's key items include a "Gamer Driver" belt, and a transformation item called a "Rider Gashatt." After transforming, Emu begins at level one and helps people who have been infected by the game virus "Bugster." Then, Emu levels up to level two to fight the materialized Bugster.

Kamen Rider Ghost, the previous installment in the franchise, premiered in October 2015. In the story, Takeru momentarily loses his life at the hands of a Ganma, who are mysterious beings from another world. However, thanks to the strange power of a hermit (played by Naoto Takenaka), Takeru is brought back to life and given the power of a Kamen Rider and becomes Kamen Rider Ghost. In order to completely come back to life, Takeru must seek out the "Eyecons" of the "15 Great Men." The series featured eyes as the transformation key item, called "Eyecons." Takeru uses the Eyecons to borrow powers from great heroes of the past, such as Miyamoto Musashi, Isaac Newton, and Thomas Edison.

Last year's entry in the Movie Taisen series, Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Ghost & Drive Chō Movie Taisen, opened in Japan on December 12.
