Adaptation screens alongside 1st Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō film in March

The official website for Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Magazine announced on Sunday that kotamaru, BUNBUN, and Project 2H's Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha-bu Shozoku (Member of the Yuki Yuna is a Hero Club) four-panel spinoff manga is getting a theatrical anime adaptation. The staff of the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero franchise originally made the announcement at the "Menkai Matsuri 2" event in Tokyo on Sunday.

The anime will screen in March alongside the screening of the first of three films for the Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter) anime project.

W-Toon Studio is animating the Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha-bu Shozoku anime. Project 2H is credited with the original work, kotamaru is credited with the original character and story designs, and Takahiro is credited with the original plan design. The anime will star:

kotamaru launched the Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha-bu Shozoku manga in Dengeki G's Magazine in the magazine's September 2014 issue. Kadokawa published the manga's third compiled volume on August 26. The manga follows the titular Yūna Yūki and the other Hero Club members' everyday lives.

kotamaru also launched the Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru Gaiden: Yūsha Kōshinkyoku (Washio Sumi is a Hero Spinoff: Hero March) four-panel manga in the December issue of Dengeki G's Magazine on October 28.

The first Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō film opens on March 18, and the second and third films open in April and July, respectively. The anime serves as the first half (six episodes) of the second season of the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero anime series. Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō will air on television after the theatrical screenings.

Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Yūsha no Shō, the second half of the second season, is a direct sequel to the first season.
