Pile voiced character Maki Nishikino in Love Live! franchise

Entertainment company IME Asia announced last week that singer and voice actress Pile will hold her first concert in Malaysia on January 21. The concert will take place at the HGH Hall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pile is perhaps best known for playing the character Maki Nishikino in the Love Live! School idol project franchise. She has voiced the character in the franchise's TV anime and film projects, and in video games. She has performed songs for the franchise as part of the series' nine-girl idol group μ's. While her musical career began before the franchise, her role served as her voice acting debut, and the franchise's success after multiple chart-topping Oricon singles highlighted her solo career.

Pile started her musical career in 2006, after winning the Asian Dolls Audition. Her subsequent debut indie single "Your is All..." served as the opening theme song for the Ikari Oyaji Ai no Sekki Yōtaikyoku television drama. She released three more indie singles before joining the Love Live! franchise, which launched in 2010. Within μ's, she is also part of three sub-units named Please&Secret, 4to6, and Bibi. The first is a collaboration with Aina Kusuda, the second with Riho Iida, and the third with Yoshino Nanjō and Sora Tokui.

Pile released five solo singles from 2014 to 2016, two indie albums, and two major albums. In her solo career, she has performed theme songs for such anime as Tenkai Knights, World Trigger, Duel Masters VS R, and RIN-NE 2, and has also voiced the character Kokoa Takeda in World Trigger.
