Other cast members include:

  • Shane as Kazuo Noguchi
  • Yūtarō as Kōta Shinohara
  • Kento Ono as Atsushi Taga
  • Ryōsei Tanaka as Arashi Nagasawa
  • Yūta Hoshino as Daikoku Nikaidō
  • Naoya Goumoto as Shūgo Takahashi

The play will run at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel's Club eX from March 3 to 12. Keita Kawajiri is directing the play and penning the script.

Yen Press is publishing the manga in North America, and it describes the series.

When fifteen-year-old Kaho Nikaidou leaves her sheltered home to start life anew in a Tokyo high school dormitory, the last thing she expects is to nearly get hit by a truck! Saved in the nick of time by a handsome stranger, Kaho falls head over heels for him and, after finally tracking him down, boldly confesses her feelings. Turns out Kaho's mystery savior, Kanade, is the son of Kaho's new landlord! The handsome object of Kaho's affection agrees to go out with her, but her newfound bliss is short-lived when it turns out that her new boyfriend...is a fifth-grader?!

Hiyoshimaru launched First Love Monster in Kodansha's Aria magazine in March 2013, and Kodansha shipped the seventh compiled volume (shown right) in July. A special edition of the eighth volume will bundle an original anime DVD on February 7. Yen Press shipped the manga's fifth volume on September 20.

The manga inspired a television anime that premiered on July 2, and Funimation streamed the series with English subtitles, as well as with an English broadcast dub.
