Artist Kiseki Himura announced on Monday that the Blu-ray Disc of the short anime of his Getsuyōbi no Tawawa (Tawawa on Monday) illustrations will include two unreleased episodes, in addition to the 12 planned episodes for the anime. The two episodes will focus on the subordinate and Ai characters. The Blu-ray Disc release will also include a soundtrack CD and a booklet that includes an exclusive manga drawn by Himura. Additionally, the release will also include a "Pickup Mode" where viewers can choose a character between Ai, the office subordinate, and the working lady, and play all the episodes about those characters continuously without the ending theme song.

NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan will offer the Blu-ray Disc at its booth at the Comic Market 91 event starting on December 29. The release will be available at the Tora no Ana and Melon Books retailers on December 31, and will be available at more retailers in January.

NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan debuted the first episode on YouTube on October 10, but YouTube removed the first episode before restoring it within the same week.

Starting from the second episode on October 17, NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan relaunched the series on Nico Nico Video, with new episodes premiering on Mondays. Himura is posting art on his Twitter account to accompany each episode. The anime's ninth episode premiered on December 5.

Hiroyuki Yoshii is designing the anime's characters. Kosuke Murayama is directing the anime at PINE JAM, and is also drawing the storyboards. Takashi Mamezuka is the animation director. Ryō Takahashi is credited for the production desk, and Daisuke Kobayashi is credited for production advancement. Akiko Kikuchi and Hiroki Matsumoto are the art directors, while Mayuko Koyama is credited with art design. Ryotaro Nakano is director of photography, and Yasuji Sakagami is credited with color design. Jin Aketagawa is credited for sound direction, and Yoshiaki Dewa is composing the music. Shinsaku Tanaka and Yasutomo Suzuki are credited with planning.
