Seven Seas Licenses Spirit Circle Manga by Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Creator

Manga about a boy and a ghost slated for October

Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Friday that it has licensed Satoshi Mizukami's Spirit Circle manga. The company plans to release the series in single volumes with new lettering and translations. The first volume is slated for on October 10.

Seven Seas describes the series:

Fuuta Okeya can see ghosts. Besides that—and the bandage he always keeps on his cheek—he's a perfectly normal 14-year old boy enamoured with the new transfer student. Unfortunately, Kouko Ishigami wants little to do with him. A strange ghost that follows her, however, seems to feel quite differently. But, when Kouko sees the strange birthmark hidden beneath the bandage on Fuuta's cheek, she has a change of heart...for the worse. Not only does she denounce him as her enemy, but she claims that the birthmark is a curse she engraved upon his face during one of their many past lives. What happened between Kouko and Fuuta, and what is the connection to the strange, fantastical dreams that Fuuta begins to experience?

Mizukami (The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer) began Spirit Circle in Shonengahosha's Young King Ours in May 2012, and ended the series in March. Shonengahosha shipped the sixth and final compiled volume in June. Crunchyroll began simultaneous publication of the manga in 2014.

JManga once carried Mizukami's The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer manga, and Seven Seas Entertainment later licensed and released The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer for print in North America.
