'Rage and Sorrow Trailer' shows conflict between Kazuya, Heihachi

Sony's PlayStation Blog announced on Monday that the Tekken 7 fighting game will ship for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam on June 2. Bandai Namco Entertainment America also began streaming the "Rage and Sorrow Trailer" for the game on Monday, which highlights the conflict between Kazuya and his father Heihachi.

The game was originally slated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC in the West in early 2017, and in spring 2017 in Japan. The game is available for pre-order now, and people who pre-order the game will receive the Tekken Revolution vampire character Eliza as DLC. The Xbox One version will include a copy of Tekken 6.

The Tekken 7 Collector's Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will bundle a statue of Kazuya and Heihachi, a Steelbook case, and a soundtrack. The Tekken 7 Season Pass for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will grant access to three content packs with new playable characters, new stages, a new game mode, costume packs, and a 35-piece Metallic Costume Pack. The three content packs will also be available for purchase separately. The Tekken 7 Digital Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will include the game and the Season Pass.

The PlayStation 4 version will include exclusive costumes for King, Xiaoyu, and Jin from Tekken 4 and Tekken 2. The PlayStation 4 version will also include a Jukebox Mode that lets players listen to classic Tekken music and create playlists to listen to while playing.

The game is getting a new Online Tournament mode that allows players to fight against other players worldwide. In the game, players will follow the story from the Mishima clan's point-of-view, but the game will also include story arcs focusing on other fighters.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released an arcade update for Tekken 7 titled Tekken 7: Fated Retribution on July 5 in Japan. The update includes a graphics update as well as a new system, new stages, new costumes, new items, and new characters. Bandai Namco Entertainment added Akuma (Gōki) from CAPCOM's Street Fighter games and Nina Williams as playable characters in the update.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is the basis for the game's launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Lee Chaolan, Violet, Miguel, Kuma, and Panda are also joining the roster for the home console release of the game.
