Both new series debut in Bessatsu Hana to Yume in February

The March issue of Hakusensha's Bessatsu Hana to Yume magazine revealed on Thursday that Maki Minami and Emura are both launching new manga series in the magazine's next issue on February 25.

Minami's new series is titled Pinpon Rush, a "quiz academy love and battle" story. The manga will have a color opening page and a 52-page first chapter. The story is set at an academy ruled by quiz bee elites, where protagonist Hina has a fated reunion with someone from her childhood.

Minami launched the Koi wa Hito no Hoka manga in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine in September 2015, and ended it last August. Hakusensha published the manga's third and final volume in October.

Minami began her Komomo Confiserie manga series in Hana to Yume in 2013 and ended the series in December 2014. Viz Media released the fifth and final volume last September. Minami ended her Seiyū ka—! manga in the same magazine in 2013. Viz Media published the series under the title Voice Over!: Seiyuu Academy, and it shipped the 12th and final volume in August 2015. Viz Media also published Minami's S.A (Special A) manga in North America.

Special A inspired a television anime series in 2008 that Sentai Filmworks released in North America.

Emura's new series is titled Wonder Honey, a "trouble and happy child-raising comedy" story. The manga will have color pages, and a 41-page first chapter. The story centers on a single father raising his daughter Akari. The father holds a secret that he must never let Akari find out.

Viz Media published all 14 volumes of Emura's W-Juliet manga in North America. Emura is also drawing a W-Juliet II sequel in Hakusensha's irregularly published Za Hana to Yume (The Hana to Yume) spinoff magazine.

Emura had ended her Kyō mo Ashita mo (Today and Tomorrow Too) shōjo manga in Hana to Yume in September 2011 after launching the manga in 2008.

Emura launched the Idea no Hana "exotic fantasy" shōjo manga in Bessatsu Hana to Yume in June 2012, and ended it in April 2015. Hakusensha published the manga's sixth and final compiled book volume in August 2015.
