Anime Limited Acquires Martian Successor Nadesico on Blu-ray

Anime Limited has announced that it has acquired the 1996 space adventure series Martian Successor Nadesico for Blu-ray release in 2017, tentatively in summer.
It will be released as a Limited Collector's Edition Blu-ray set, with a standard Blu-ray later (possibly not until 2018). The Collector's Edition will include the 26-part series (both dubbed and subbed); the sequel film Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture - Prince of Darkness; and the OVA Gekigangar 3. Gekigangar 3 will be on a DVD disc in the set, as there is not an upscaled HD version available.
Extras will provisionally include interviews with actors and staff, the featurette “Welcome to Belle Equipe”, a “Nadesico Sorekara” special and a music video.
The TV series will be in 1080p in 4:3 ratio, in Pillarbox format. The movie willl be in 1080p in 16:9 (widescreen) ratio.
