Gourmet Girl Graffiti Creator's New Series Launches Next Month

"Android love story" to launch in Manga Time Kirara

This year's March issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara magazine announced on Thursday that Happy Cooking Graffiti manga creator Makoto Kawai's new manga will begin in the next issue on March 9. The four-panel manga is titled Amaetai Hi wa Soba ni Ite. It will be an "android love story" that centers on a high school boy, the girls around him, and an android girl.

Kawai ended the Happy Cooking Graffiti four-panel manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine last September. The seventh and final compiled book volume of the manga shipped on September 27.

The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series that premiered in January 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired under the title Gourmet Girl Graffiti, and Sentai Filmworks released the anime on home video in North America.
