Elex Media Licenses Ōji Gentei, Yo-kai Watch Nyanderful Days Manga

Both manga slated for March 22

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced last week that it has licensed Nanami Seta's Ōji Gentei and Chikako Mori's Yōkai Watch - Waku Waku Nyanderful Days manga. The company will begin releasing both manga on March 22.

Ōji Gentei collects six one-shot short manga that Seta published in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in 2014. Each of the stories are a story about a girl and a "prince-like" boy with different attitudes, ranging from aloof, sadistic, pure, sweet, or pushy.

The short stories include "Ijiwaru Ōji, Jimi Hime ni Koi o Suru" (The Teasing Prince Falls in Love With the Plain Girl), "Yankee Ōji to Chibi Nyanko" (The Delinquent Prince and the Little Kitten), "Koi Suru Harem King" (The Harem King in Love), "Nankōfuraku no Ōji-sama" (The Impregnable Prince), "Ōji no Kiss wa Koi no Wana?!" (The Prince's Kiss is a Love Trap?!), and "Uwasa no Gokuaku Ōji" (They Whisper About the Evil Prince). Shogakukan published the compiled book volume in May 2015.

Yōkai Watch - Waku Waku Nyanderful Days centers on Fumi-chan, the female protagonist from the games (named Katie Forrester in the English version of the games). The manga's story portrays original events completely different from both the anime and Noriyuki Konishi's manga.

Mori launched the manga in Shogakukan's Ciao magazine in December 2013. Shogakukan published the manga's third compiled book volume last August. Elex Media is also publishing Noriyuki Konishi's earlier Yōkai Watch manga. Toonami Asia began airing the television anime series in June 2015.
