This year's 14th issue of Kodansha's Young Magazine announced five new manga series on Monday, including series by Yoshinobu Yamada (Cage of Eden) and Lynn Okamoto (Brynhildr in the Darkness, Elfen Lied). Yamada's "suspense x eros x violence" manga Satanophany will debut in the magazine's 15th issue on March 13, and Okamoto's Parallel Paradise (pictured below) will debut in the 16th issue on March 18. Both series will mark the authors' first time publishing a series in Young Magazine.

Yamada serialized his Deathtopia manga from April 2014 to November 2016. He ended his Cage of Eden manga in January 2013, and Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in North America.

Okamoto launched Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the Darkness) in January 2012, and ended the series last March. The manga inspired a 13-episode television anime in 2013. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan and Sentai Filmworks released the series on home video.

Okamoto's earlier Elfen Lied manga inspired a television anime series that ADV Films released in North America.

The other new series that will launch in the magazine in coming weeks are as follows:

  • Yōsuke Nakamaru's Korosazaru Mono, Iku Bekarazu — premiering in the 19th issue on April 10
  • Yukio Tamai's tentatively titled Hon'ami Strut — premiering in the 20th issue on April 17
  • Rō Sobo's Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!? — premiering in the 21st issue on April 24

The magazine also announced that it will continue its tribute manga series for the upcoming live-action Ghost in the Shell film. Boichi (Sun-Ken Rock) will contribute a tribute manga in the 17th issue on March 27.
