Yu Aida Resumes 1518! Manga on Monday as Monthly Series

Yu Aida's 1518! (pronounced Ichi Go Ichi Hachi) manga resumed in this year's 14th issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine on Monday. The manga will now publish new chapters once every month. The manga had been on hiatus since October.
The manga's story centers around Sachi Maruyama, a girl who has just entered high school. In her new school, she finds that no club activities really interest her, so she is invited by an upperclassman from her middle school — now the student council president of her high school — to help with student council activities. There, she finds Karasuya, a boy she had met three years ago on a baseball field.
Aida launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits in August 2014, and the manga went on hiatus from July 2015 to October 2015. The manga went on hiatus again in November 2015 and resumed in the magazine's 29th issue last June. Shogakukan released the manga's third compiled book volume in November.
Aida ended his Gunslinger Girl manga in September 2012. The manga inspired two anime series and an original video anime. ADV released part of the manga in North America, and then Seven Seas re-released the entire series in omnibus form in 2011-2013.
